Privacy Policy
The short version: Aceit is built to be private. Your courses, grades, and settings live on your device — there is no account and we never see your data. We don’t run analytics, we don’t show ads, and we don’t track you. The only information that ever leaves your device is your Aceit Pro subscription status, handled by Apple and RevenueCat so the App knows your Pro features are unlocked.
1. Who we are
Aceit (the “App”) is operated by SIA “Miglai”, a limited liability company (sabiedrība ar ierobežotu atbildību) registered in Latvia (“Aceit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The App helps students track their grades and plan toward a target grade.

For users in the EU/EEA and the UK, SIA “Miglai” is the data controller for the limited personal data described in this policy. Full company details are in our Legal Notice.
2. Data stored on your device
Everything you enter into Aceit — your courses, grading categories and weights, individual grades, GPA settings, target grades, and app preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage framework (SwiftData). This data:
- stays on your iPhone (and within your device’s storage);
- is not transmitted to us and is not visible to us;
- is included in your device backups if you back up through Apple (for example, encrypted iCloud or local backups that you control); and
- is removed when you delete the App, subject to any device backups you’ve made.
Because this information is stored locally, we cannot see it, access it, or recover it for you.
3. What we don’t do
To be unambiguous, Aceit does not:
- include third-party analytics or measurement SDKs;
- show advertising or use the advertising identifier (IDFA);
- track you across apps or websites (we do not request App Tracking Transparency);
- collect your location, contacts, photos, or messages;
- build advertising profiles; or
- sell or “share” your personal information with data brokers or advertisers.
4. No account, no sign-in
Aceit does not require an account, a login, or your email address. You download the App and start tracking immediately — everything works on your device. We collect no name, email, phone number, or contact details of any kind.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
Aceit offers an optional Aceit Pro subscription. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, and subscription status is managed using RevenueCat, a subscription-management service.
We do not see or store your credit-card or payment details — Apple handles payment. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous subscriber identifier and your subscription/transaction status so the App knows whether Pro features are unlocked.
6. Service providers
We don’t sell your data. The only parties involved in running Aceit are:
- Apple — operates the App Store and processes all in-app purchases.
- RevenueCat — manages your Aceit Pro subscription entitlement, as described in Section 5, under a Data Processing Agreement.
- Authorities — only where required by a valid legal request, and only the minimum data necessary.
Your grade data is never sent to us or to any provider — it stays on your device.
7. Legal bases (GDPR)
- To provide Aceit Pro (subscription status) — performance of a contract with you.
- To comply with law (e.g. tax records for purchases, handled with Apple) — legal obligation.
Your grade data is not processed by us at all, because it never leaves your device.
8. International transfers
Your grade data does not leave your device. The limited subscription data in Section 5 may be processed by RevenueCat on servers that may be located outside your country. Where such data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. How long we keep data
- On-device grade data — kept until you delete it in the App or remove the App; we never receive it.
- Subscription records — retained as required by tax and accounting law (handled with Apple).
10. Your rights and choices
- Access, edit & delete: your grade data lives on your device, so you can view, edit, or delete any of it at any time directly in the App — and removing the App erases it.
- Manage subscriptions: cancel Aceit Pro any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
- EU/UK (GDPR): for the limited subscription data, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability. Email privacy@migla.io; we respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority — in Latvia, the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija).
- California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.
11. Security
On-device data is protected by your device’s own security — your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and Apple’s file protection. The limited subscription traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. No method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure, but we use reasonable safeguards and will notify you and the relevant authorities of any qualifying breach as required by law.
12. Children
Aceit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Grade data stays on the device, and no account or contact information is collected at all. If you are under 18, please review this policy with a parent or guardian.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves — for example, if we later add an optional account or cross-device sync, we will update this policy and tell you in the App before any such feature is switched on. Material changes will be announced in the App, and the “Last updated” date above will change. Your continued use of Aceit after an update means you accept the revised policy.
