Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the “Terms,” and together with any end-user license terms, this “Agreement”) govern your use of the Aceit app. Please read them carefully. By downloading or using Aceit, you agree to them.
1. Acceptance of these terms
This Agreement is between you and SIA “Miglai”, a limited liability company registered in Latvia (“Aceit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the provider of the Aceit app. By downloading, installing, or using the Aceit app (the “App”), you agree to be bound by this Agreement and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian, who must agree to them on your behalf.
2. Description of the service
Aceit is a personal grade-tracking and planning tool for students. It lets you record courses and grades, view your current grade and GPA, and use a “reverse calculator” to estimate the score you would need on remaining work to reach a target grade. Core data is stored on your device — no account or sign-in is required to use the App.
Important — estimates only. Grade and GPA calculations in Aceit are estimates for personal planning, based on the information you enter and the grading rules you configure. They are not official academic records and may differ from grades calculated by your school, teacher, or institution. Always rely on your school’s official records and your instructors for actual grades. You are responsible for verifying any number that matters to you. Aceit is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any school, university, or examination board.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Aceit. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf. By using the App you represent that you meet these requirements and have the legal capacity to accept these Terms.
4. Aceit Pro subscription
Aceit is free to download and includes core features. Aceit Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks additional functionality (such as the full reverse calculator and tracking more than one course). Aceit Pro is offered as:
- a weekly plan, and
- an annual plan, which may include a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
Current prices and any introductory offer are shown in the App before you confirm a purchase, and may vary by region and over time.
Free trial
If you start a free trial, you won’t be charged during the trial period. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and your Apple ID will be charged for the first paid period. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial, where applicable.
Auto-renewal and billing
Aceit Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews at the then-current price for the same period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing and cancelling
You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your Apple account settings (on your device: Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription — you must turn off auto-renewal in your Apple account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then.
Refunds
Payments are processed by Apple, and purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or under Apple’s applicable policies. Refund requests are handled by Apple; you can request a refund through Apple (for example, via reportaproblem.apple.com), subject to Apple’s terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of this Agreement;
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
- interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, our systems, or our service providers’ systems;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or any subscription; or
- attempt to access paid features without paying, or to circumvent in-app purchase.
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms.
6. No account needed
Aceit does not require an account, a login, or your email address. You can use the App immediately after installing it, and all of your data stays on your device. Questions or problems? Reach us any time at support@migla.io.
7. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, branding, the Aceit name and logo, and its software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We don’t claim ownership of the grade data you enter — that’s yours. This Agreement doesn’t grant you any rights in our trademarks or branding.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any calculation, estimate, or result will meet your requirements or be accurate. You use the App, and rely on its estimates, at your own risk.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SIA “Miglai” and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, academic outcomes, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if we’ve been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 50. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time, delete your data within the App, and cancel Aceit Pro as described above. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach this Agreement or misuse the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.
11. Apple App Store terms
These Terms are between you and SIA “Miglai”, not Apple. You acquire the App through the Apple App Store, and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA) also applies to your use of the App, in addition to these Terms. If there is a conflict between these Terms and Apple’s standard EULA regarding your use of the App, Apple’s standard EULA governs that conflict. You acknowledge that Apple is not responsible for the App or for providing support, that if the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty Apple may refund the purchase price (if any) and has no other warranty obligation, and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement with the right to enforce it.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, when we add new features such as cross-device sync. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Latvia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Riga, Latvia, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your country of residence. EU residents may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer-protection rights you have under local law.
